Today, we drove to Wachusett Mountain for their annual Applefest. The drive up to Wachusett wasn't that bad, only about an hour and a half. The scenery is beautiful, especially now that fall is in full swing here in Massachusetts. The Applefest was a lot of fun, definitely great for families. We enjoyed some great apple-themed food, like cider donuts and apple soda. Because it was also Oktoberfest this weekend, we enjoyed some German food as well. Nick and I had a smoked pork sandwich with apple chutney (delicious!) while Mom and Dad Tatarka had a bratwurst (of course!).
After spending the day up at Wachusett, we drove back to Boston to see the Camp Sunshine Pumpkin Festival on City Hall Plaza. By then, it was much colder and windier, so after a few minutes of checking out the pumpkins, we headed over to Wagamama. For those of you who aren't familiar with Wagamama, it is a healthy, fresh noodle bar that started in London. Its community style dining and unique culinary dishes make it one of the most popular restaurants in England. Nick and I ate there when we were on our anniversary trip in London, but still hadn't been to the one in Boston. Stamp of approval by all four Tatarkas!

Sounds like you had fun! Sandy just emailed me and said Uncle Jeff and Aunt Darlene were in Boston with you two:) Glad you had a good visit. That's one of the things I miss most about being in Ohio this time of year...the beautiful foliage. We have some out here, but we are the "Evergreen State" so not a whole lot. We planted two beautiful maple trees in our yard to help with the colorful foliage:)I look forward to taking some time to look at your Anniversary photos soon. Thanks for sharing:) Lori
